Equipped with nearly 20 years of law enforcement experience and extensive knowledge of the inner workings of police departments, Sarah Bordner is a dedicated, results-oriented attorney with a reputation for responsive client service and positive outcomes in court.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Sarah was an officer for the Ocean City Police Department, followed by the Baltimore County Police Department, where she received multiple accolades including the prestigious Silver Badge Award. Her 18 years as an officer gave her an unprecedented level of insider knowledge surrounding criminal matters, traffic and impaired driving offenses.
With an undergraduate degree in Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, she’s shown a lifelong proclivity for criminal justice.
As an officer, Sarah trained for additional certifications including Accident Reconstructionist, Drug Recognition Expert & Instructor, Standardized Field Sobriety Testing/DUI Instructor, Evidentiary Breath Test Instrument Operator and Radar/LIDAR Operator. She also served as an undercover narcotics detective.
Sarah attended the University of Baltimore School of Law. While there, she was a member of the Bob Parsons Veterans Advocacy Clinic where she served as a student attorney, representing military veterans before the Department of Veterans Affairs as well as discharge review boards. She’s also worked with the Veterans Court in Baltimore City, and is a Veterans Administration Accredited Attorney.
In her spare time, Sarah is committed to philanthropy, donating her services to the Maryland Volunteer Lawyer Services and the Homeless Persons Representation Project.
