Your Drug Charge Criminal Defense Attorney
Mr. Kadish is an award-winning drug charge criminal defense attorney who possesses the knowledge, courtroom savvy, and connections necessary to protect your rights against aggressive prosecution.
Even seemingly minor drug crimes can often result in extremely serious charges. Possessing more than 10 grams of marijuana stored in separate bags can lead to a distribution charge, for example — even if it’s intended solely for personal use.
Select jurisdictions offer drug court or early resolution court that offers an alternative to typical legal procedures, and the team at Craig M. Kadish & Associates, LLC has extensive experience navigating that system.
Mr. Kadish and team regulary have charges dropped, recover assets seized by police, and keep college students from facing jail time, and help clients overcome even seemingly insurmountable legal odds.

"I am still early into my case, but so far Mr. Kadish has been awesome! While I've had one actual court appearance for my case, I was extremely impressed with Mr. Kadish's demeanor and poise. He presented the information to the judge in such a well thought out way that the judge and even the prosecution attorney gave him praise!" — Chris
"My working relationship with Mr. Kadish was very good. I had gotten in a bit of trouble in Ocean City last summer. Mr. Kadish and his staff were very professional in all my dealings with them. Whenever I had a question about my case, I would call, or email them. It took only about 5 minutes for a reply every time. The outcome of my case was great. I highly recommend him." — Jon
"Craig represented my son recently in a DWI case. When we first met with Craig at his office I was very impressed with his knowledge of the inner workings of the law but I didn't think we could afford such a great attorney. However, Craig worked with us on his fees and I am very happy with the outcome of our case. Thank you, Craig!" — Mike Schneider
Frequently Asked Questions
If the police pull me over, can they search me if they just smell marijuana, which has been decriminalized for less than 10 grams?
No. The state’s highest court recently held that while the smell of burnt marijuana may give an officer probable cause to search a vehicle, the officer cannot search your person unless they have probable cause to suspect that you have at least 10 grams of marijuana or are driving under the influence.
What makes something distribution or possession with intent to distribute versus simple possession?
Distribution can be something as simple as passing a joint to another person at a party; money need not be exchanged. Possession with intent to distribute depends on quantity and other surrounding circumstances.
Are ecstasy, MDMA, etc. serious drugs to possess?
Yes. While a recent change in the law changed the maximum penalty for a first offense of possession of any drug (other than marijuana) from 4 years to 1 year incarceration, the crime is still very serious, as are the penalties.
