Man Guilty in Vehicular Death

The influence of drugs can dramatically effect a persons ability to make ethical decisions.

A Baltimore City Hall employee was hit and killed by a speeding car last spring. Johnny Johnson was under the influence of heroin while driving down 100 North Holiday St.

Johnson has pleaded guilty for the car crash. Officials said that the maximum sentence for a vehicular manslaughter charge is 10 years.

“Hersl’s family was outraged last week when they learned that a potential plea deal was on the table against their wishes. However, a few days later, the family said they spoke with the City State’s Attorney’s Office and decided to no longer involve themselves in the legal proceedings.

Bernstein later explained that it wasn’t a plea deal but an admission of guilt by Johnson and that the outcome would have probably been the same if he went to trial.”
